2027 Land Preservation Parks and Recreation Plan

What IS Important about where you live and play?

Caroline County will be starting to gather data for the 2027 LPPRP. What in the heck is that?

The LPPRPs are comprehensive planning documents that are used by the counties and Baltimore City as an opportunity to collect and evaluate data related to parks, recreation, and land preservation. These plans are meant to identify the rates of public participation in specific types of recreation and the availability of those facilities. There is special emphasis placed on the proximity of park facilities to where people live and especially to underserved communities. These plans also inventory natural resource conservation land and agricultural preservation land.

In short? This is mandated in order to receive recreation development, planning and acquisition funding from the state of Maryland!
